Mark Warburton is targeting a 100 per cent record as Bees embark on their final push for the Championship play-offs.

The boss wants 80 points by the end of the season, but Tuesday night’s 1-0 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday leaves them nine points shy of that goal, meaning they need to win all three remaining games.

However, Warburton also recognised the importance of taking their chances in front of goal after a night of disappointment at Hillsborough.

He said: “There is no point masking the fact that we dropped three points, but we can still get to 80 points and that is our target.

“We did more than enough to win it, but the fact is you have to take your chances.

“We dominated possession and created very good chances, but the simple fact is you have to take your chances. You can talk about it all night, but goals change games.”

Alex Pritchard is expected to return for this weekend’s visit of Bolton Wanderers.
