Sir – Councillor Serge Lourie’s letter (October 3) has responded to but not answered our letter.
We ask again how the “around 15 houses” he confidently states squares with the statement in the development brief, namely 13 town houses and 14 flats.
Nobody at this stage can know how many houses and flats there will be. This will become clear only when detailed plans appear from each of the five developers.
The development brief was written before the current financial crisis and sharp fall in house prices; thus it follows that the amount of enabling development necessary will inevitably have to be greater than originally envisaged.
