Sir – I would like to thank the many people who came to my rescue when I had a fall on Twickenham Green on Saturday afternoon. Two young gentlemen helped me up and got me a seat, then one escorted me to the chemist. Another young couple drove me home.
My jacket was splashed with blood, but it was OK after a dip in the washing machine.
It was a pleasure to know that there are still lots of very kind, helpful people around.
