It is unthinkable to bury a community under concrete for a third runway which because it will only meet 75 per cent of the expected demand for air travel will be obsolete before it is finished.
How many more communities will you feed to the aviation monster – Harmondsworth, Harlington, Longford, Cranford, Stanwell?
We’re delighted the Tories are listening – delighted they’ve costed a high-speed rail scheme as an alternative to a third Heathrow runway.
Relentless ruthless continued expansion of Heathrow is unthinkable and unsustainable – there is only so much land the aviation industry can grab.
