Some of Richmond’s greatest buildings hold open house events this September as part of Open House London, a showcase of urban architecture and design.

Among the buildings on display are Hampton’s Georgian garden building Garrick’s Temple, built in 1756 by actor David Garrick as a tribute to William Shakespeare and winner of a Green Heritage site award.

Tours take place between 2pm and 5pm on Sunday, September 21.

Richmond’s Elizabethan Renaissance-style Old Town hall, built in 1893, will also offer tours on Saturday, September 20, between 10am and 4pm, giving visitors a unique glimpse into the borough’s history in a building altered by war and political change.
